The King cites the report of the Bishop of Guadalajara that on his recent tour of inspection to Bahia del Espiritu Santo he found no priest at Dolores. He orders in 1762 that a clergyman, either regular or secular, be provided to Dolores and to any other settlement on the coast which needs one without delay.
